Best Cars Manufactured In 2008 - Critics Choice

Like every year, 2008 saw the release of a number of fabulous cars. Below is the list of the best of the year and comprises of both the luxurious and the economical ones.

Bugatti Veyron:

If you happen to have a lot of money to spend on a car, this is the car for you. Launched in 2008, till date Bugatti Veyron is the world's most expensive car. It comes with a price tag of more than $1.5 million dollars which is very high by any standards. Under the hood lies a 1000 horse power 16 cylinder engine which has the potential to attain speeds of 253 mph. The only disadvantage is that when at full speed, it can empty its 26 gallon fuel tank in 12 minutes flat which again is very expensive by normal standards. Nevertheless, this super car deserves to be on the list of the best cars of 2008 for its sheer performance and adrenalin thrill.

Ford Flex:

This new model by Ford is a three row crossover. The designers have made sure to keep the interiors classy and conservative giving it a very elegant look. Other features include spacious seats and a refrigerating console for the riders of the vehicle. Along with it comes a Sync Bluetooth Audio System that can make the ride very pleasurable. The Ford Flex did manage to turn a lot of heads when it was launched and was sold from one corner to the other.

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid:

The best part about this car is its mileage. On the city roads, it can give run 22 miles per gallon for fuel. 8 people can occupy this 4 wheeler at any given point of time easily making it the most suitable for long distance family travelling. It comes with plenty of space for the cargo and the engine is powerful enough to pull a boat behind.

Volkswagen Eos:

It can be best described as a sporty coup that can also be converted into a convertible. It has a hard top that is not only retractable but also very sleek. Design wise, the Volkswagen Eos has a structure that can be noticed from far away and looks best in black and white colors.

Infiniti EX35:

The usual features are similar to every other car on the road. However, what differentiates it from the others is the fact that it comes with a Lane Departure Prevention System which is meant to help the driver stay in line (literally). Sensors in the form of cameras mark the lanes in front and when any deviation is detected, breaks are applied automatically to help being the vehicle back on course.

Toyota Prius:

The Toyota Prius makes the top list of 2008 due to the spacious interiors and a mileage of 45 mpg on the highway. With this mileage, it is impossible to find someone complaining about anything at all.

In the future, manufacturers of these vehicles are expected to come up with modified versions of the same, something that every car enthusiast is looking forward to.
